Beware of Scammers

CARIE in the News – The Philadelphia Inquirer published an article, Beware scammers out to get your numbers, that warns Medicare beneficiaries of scams associated with the Affordable Care Act.  Information from Rebecca Nurick, PA-SMP Program Manager, is featured in the article. People on Medicare should not buy any insurance policies through the Health Insurance Marketplace or any policies that are marketed as being needed or required through Obamacare or the Affordable Care Act.  Medicare beneficiaries should not discontinue or make any changes to their current supplemental plan or Medicare Advantage plan based on the health care law.  Consumers with questions or who need additional information are encouraged to contact CARIE.
