The decision to go to a nursing home is often very difficult for both the individual as well as their loved ones. Be sure to speak with a CARIE LINE counselor or another professional to be sure that all options have been explored and that it is indeed the best alternative. Be sure to contact an Ombudsman for information about a facility’s licensing status, and know that the Ombudsman is available as the resident’s advocate should any unresolved problems occur.
