Alzheimer’s White Paper

On October 4, 2010, CARIE’s Dorothy S. Washburn Legislative Committee released a new white paper, “Meeting the Needs of Persons with Alzheimer’s or Other Dementia When No Informal Support is Available.”  While there is an abundance of information about Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia and support for caregivers, there is little, if any, information for those who do not have a caregiver.  The Committee hopes to shine a light on this population so that policymakers, researchers, planners and others will begin to identify and implement a response to meet their needs.
