Kathy Cubit

Since 1988, Kathy Cubit has worked at CARIE in a variety of capacities including as CARIE LINE Coordinator and currently as the Advocacy Manager.  She is instrumental in developing CARIE’s systemic advocacy positions, writes the CARIE Connection newsletter, and staffs the Dorothy S. Washburn Legislative Committee.  In addition, she assists in developing and managing programs and staff.   She represents CARIE on the Senior Support Coalition, the Disability Budget Coalition, Philadelphia Corporation for Aging’s Long Term Care Committee, and works collaboratively with many groups.  She serves on Pennsylvania’s Medical Assistance Advisory Committee (MAAC), currently chairs the MAAC’s Long Term Services and Supports Subcommittee and is appointed to the Pennsylvania’s Alzheimer’s State Plan Task Force.  Her commitment to advocacy was profiled in the January/February 2016 issue of the American Society on Aging’s Aging Today along with two other “leading aging advocates” and she received the Emergency Fund Coalition for Older Philadelphians’ Community Service Award in 2017.  Ms. Cubit is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University.
