Caregiver Corner
Caregiving can be emotionally overwhelming. Whether one becomes a caregiver gradually or suddenly, relationships inevitably change and can be difficult. In our "Caregiver Corner" you'll find fact sheets, guides, and links to resources to help caregivers with their challenging role.

Elder Abuse
Elder abuse and neglect are prevalent in our society, and yet it is estimated that only one in fourteen cases of elder abuse are reported to authorities. Read our Elder Abuse section for fact sheets, guides and links to resources on elder abuse.

Health Care Fraud
Each year billions of dollars are lost to Medicare and Medicaid fraud. The cost is estimated to be over $19 billion annually; however, the cost in terms of loss of quality of care is immeasurable. In this section you will find resources to help protect yourself against healthcare fraud.

Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Benefit
Medicare now offers prescription drug coverage.  Pennsylvanians may choose from over 50 plans offering a broad range of coverage options. You do not have to sign up for a plan, but you may pay a penalty later if you change your mind. In this section, you will find resources to help you understand this new program.

Nursing Homes
The decision to go to a nursing home is often very difficult for both the individual as well as their loved ones.  In this section you will find fact sheets, guides and links to resources to help you make informed decisions about nursing homes.
