Transportation Problems Resolution
Transportation Service Advocacy Program (T-SAP)
T-SAP assists riders of SEPTA’s Shared Ride transportation program. T-SAP is part of the CARIE LINE and assists non-sponsored riders of Shared Ride with individual and systematic advocacy around transportation issues.
Advocacy Efforts for Riders
The Transportation Service Advocate provides complaint assistance and problem resolution service to non-sponsored riders of Shared Ride. The Advocate assists riders by providing information, making referrals to appropriate resources, and advocating on their behalf as needed. The Advocate will help put complaints in writing to SEPTA, if needed, and will follow-up with consumers and SEPTA/CCT-Connect.
Educational Presentations and Outreach
The Transportation Advocate conducts town meetings and makes presentations to senior audiences at locations such as senior housing sites, community centers, churches, senior clubs, and any site where seniors meet. Educational presentations help to increase understanding of the Shared Ride Program by providing tips for avoiding problems and highlighting important procedures such as complaint mechanisms.
Contact the Transportation Advocate, C. Allison Givhan at 215-545-5728, ext. 225 for more information or to schedule an educational presentation for your senior audience.
