SERVING OLDER VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT

SeniorLAW Center and the Center for Advocacy for the Rights and Interests of the Elderly (CARIE) are joining forces to focus attention on older victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, some of the most vulnerable victims of violence against women.

A Leadership Task Force has been formed to address issues related to domestic violence and sexual assault of seniors.  The task force is meeting to develop stronger partnerships, foster cross training and most importantly to find ways to provide effective services and supports for older victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.  The following groups participate on the task force and provide resources to older victims:
