Spread the Word - Fast Facts

Volunteers extend the depth and breadth of CARIE’s work and are a critical component of CARIE’s success. During the past fiscal year, volunteers in the Pennsylvania Heath Care Fraud Education Program, the Philadelphia Long Term Care Ombudsman Program at CARIE, the PAVE program, and special one-time projects like Golden Games contributed over 2,700 hours to CARIE’s programs and services, and leveraged over $20,000 in in-kind resources (over and above the value of their time).  In addition to improving the quality of life for CARIE’s clients, volunteers gain knowledge and skills, and enrich their own lives through service.
