Featured Volunteer - Rose Koren Moody

Rose Koren MoodyRose Koren Moody is an example to us all.  She has been volunteering for CARIE since 1994.  She is committed to our mission and has proven to be an effective advocate for vulnerable older adults.  Ms. Moody is currently retired but is quite active on many levels.  She has served as a member of CARIE’s Board and has been instrumental in raising funds for the organization.  Ms. Moody has served on the Dorothy S. Washburn Legislative Committee where she has been influential in helping to strategize and respond to numerous advocacy efforts.  She has also volunteered with the Health Care Fraud Education Program and the Long Term Care Ombudsman Program.  A strong advocate for older adults, she served on the Philadelphia Shared Ride Advisory Council and has helped raise funds for Philadelphia Corporation for Aging’s (PCA) Emergency Fund as well as the “Walk Against Hunger.”  Ms. Moody has been involved with numerous charitable and political groups.  She has held various administrative positions at health care facilities and has worked as a meeting planner including for the PCA's Celebrate Age Expo.
