Ways to Give
Without the help of so many over the past 28 years, CARIE would simply not be able to survive. We depend on our contributors for so much. Here are a few ways that we’ve been helped by the generosity of others:
- Cash Donations
- Gifts in memory or in honor of an individual’s special occasion (birthday, marriage, anniversary, etc.)
- Planned gifts (inclusion in a Will)
- Gifts of stock
- Grants from Foundations, Corporations and Government
- United Way through our agency allocation and through specific donor option (CARIE's Donor Option number is: 1885)
- Combined Federal Campaign Donor Option (CARIE's number is: 12341)
- Pennsylvania State Employee Campaign (SECA) Number: 4101-0223
- In-Kind services including legal assistance, public relations, technology, accounting and other professional services
- In-Kind donations of office furniture and supplies, computer equipment, audio-visual equipment, etc.
- Using the Web
- You can give each time you conduct a websearch by setting GoodSearch.net as your search engine. Just go to GoodSearch.net and in the space that says "I'm Supporting" type in CARIE.
- You can also give to CARIE each time you do on-line shopping. Go to www.IGive.com, register and select CARIE as your charity. Each time you use this site to purchase from such stores as Buy.com, Eddie Bauer, Gap, Land's End, and hundreds more a percentage of your purchase will be forwarded to CARIE.
- You may also want to try www.shopforcharityday.com. There are special offers at over 1,000 on-line merchants. You get discounts and a percentage of your purchases are given to CARIE.
- Getting married? Now you can support CARIE by registering with the I Do Foundation. From honeymoons to invitations to wedding gifts to charitable wedding favors, the I Do Foundation allows couples and their guests to make wedding-related purchases that generate donations for charity. The I Do Foundation's Donation Registry service also makes it easy for guests to make donations in lieu of gifts. All of these services are available free of cost at www.IDoFoundation.org. Check it out today, and be sure to suggest the Center for Advocacy for the Rights and Interests of the Elderly (CARIE) as the beneficiary of your charitable wedding.
