Board of Directors

CARIE is fortunate to have a dedicated Board of Directors committed to the organization and its mission. 

Donna M. Hill, Esq., Vice President and Associate General Counsel at Cardinal Health, serves as Chair.  Ms. Hill comes to the organization with concern for the autonomy and self direction of older adults after she witnessed first hand the loss of dignity of a close family member who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease. 

Mary Austin, MSN, Vice-Chair, with the LIFE program at the School of Nursing at the University of Pennsylvania brings a wealth of experience from her long-term care career as well as experience as a family caregiver. 

Jane Bonner Reitmeyer, MSW, Secretary, has been working in the field of aging for over ten years.  Her interest in area of aging began as a high school student working at a Continuing Care Retirement Community.  Her interest deepened while she was working as a staff assistant with the late Senator John Heinz, who, at the time, was the ranking member on the Select Committee on Aging.  She became familiar with CARIE's mission and services through her experience as a social worker with the Division of Geriatrics at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center.

John Evans, Esq., Treasurer is not only an attorney but also a Certified Public Accountant. He became interested in CARIE after having experience as a family caregiver.
